Dear Diary,
Today is Monday, October 1, 2007. The first of October with Halloween at the end of the month and November (my birthday) the next month. I am excited for the beautiful weather in the fall!
I believe I may not trick-or-treat this year. I think I am mature and older, and I perhaps will not participate. I don't know yet!
I woke up tired this morning. I went to orchestra and to advisory, which we waited for about ten minutes before my teacher arrived. We read the bulletin and went to Social Studies. I had expected my graded essay as I walked in the door, but we did not cover the essays today and worked on a different order of business.
In English, we started to write our essay with our graphic organizer as a start. We had to finish and type the first paragraph for homework.
In gym, we ran the "pacer", my least favorite activity. We have to run when the beep sounds and the beep becomes faster each level. I ran about 42 times. My inner thighs were sore from horseback riding on Saturday, so I did not do my best. I wanted about 50, but I felt tired and could not run.
In art, I worked on the mask and am almost completed with the paper layer. I will continue with brown paper towels tomorrow.
In Science, we took a similar test to the one we had done on Friday. We estimate the measurement of the ruler, small cylinder, or the big cylinder and record the measurement on a sheet of paper. I found the exercise to be simple and easy.
In Math, we started a new section: 7.6. We received our tests back: I scored a 10/10, 100%, A+! I felt pleased with my score.
In Spanish, we had a substitute. Sra. Garcia has been sick Thursday, Friday, last week, and now Monday of this week. She has bronchitis and came down with bronchitis the same day I did, but I recovered quicker than she did. I had been absent for 3 days, she has been absent for 8!
I walked home halfway when Mom picked me up and dropped me at Alexandra's to retrieve my bike which I had ridden to her house yesterday. She was not home, so I walked home from her house.
I did my homework and Alexandra called me back. I told her I would pick up the bike later; I will tomorrow.
I ate dinner and updated my iPod. My brother recently purchased the iPod Touch, which I think is cool. The iPod Touch is similar to the iPhone, but does not have the phone or camera features.
I am tired and feel I have to read and sleep. I will write more on Wednesday!
