Applications

Dear Diary,

Yesterday I felt sick and did not attend school. I went to the doctor and became diagnosed with bronchitis. The doctor told me I could not attend school today and my brother had a stomach ache and lay on the couch until 10:00 and returned back to school. The nurse called at about 1:00 and reported that Evan had thrown up. Mom returned him back home and went back to lying on the couch.

Today is Friday, September 22, 2007.

I feel better than I did yesterday and will return to school on Monday.

I did not act upon much today. I laid on the couch, read my book, and watched TV most of the time. I am not surprised I am sick. I become sick in the fall and winter per year. I do enjoy a break from school occasionally, but I do not like to spend the day in bed!

The time has come to apply to private high schools. I have received a number of essays to complete in order to apply to a certain private school. I feel nervous and apprehensive! So many schools, so little time... I can't imagine the pressure to apply for college, but I assume the application will help me to prepare for applying for college.

I received the homework from my diligent friend, Ashley. I have not completed the homework yet, but I will tomorrow when I have time.

My friend Charlotte has invited me to her birthday party for years, and I feel horrible because I have only come to about three although we have made up the time together.

Tomorrow I had planned to spend time with her with a Mall Madness sleepover. But since I will have recovered from a sickness, I will reschedule for next weekend.

At about 4:00, Ted came home from school and went to a friend's house for a late night. Mom, Evan and I watched a movie called "My Side of the Mountain", an old classic movie. I somewhat liked the movie; not a bad choice.
I cannot think about the friend situation at the moment. For now, I have other matters to be concerned about. I cannot think of any alternatives or solutions. I will rest my mind and watch Gilmore Girls for a while. I will write more on Sunday!
