Drama Queen

Dear Diary,

Today is Wednesday, December 12, 2007.

I woke up early today to read a new book called Eclipse in the Twilight series. To parents who read my blog, a nice Christmas present for a young adult daughter would be the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. The books in the Twilight series are: Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse in order. I loved Twilight and New Moon, and the Twilight series are a wonderful trilogy. Speaking of Christmas presents, I have decided to buy my dad an expensive book called "Ecurie Ecosse". My dad races cars as a hobbie in his spare time, and he reads many car magazines in which he discovers new books to read, such as "Ecurie Ecosse". I have found my mom's gift (I will not mention her gift because she reads my blog!) and I plan to buy my brother Ted's gift, a book called "Snakehead" in the Alex Rider series tomorrow. On eBay, I purchased a Keane poster that my other brother Evan will love. The poster is double-sided with a picture of the artists on one side and a picture of the "Under the Iron Sea" (One of Keane's albums) on the other side. My brother and I both share a love of Keane, so I believe this to be the perfect present.

I did not attend Orchestra this morning because we had a successful concert last night, and we never have rehearsals the morning after the concert. I rode the bus to school with Mary and Riley (Mary's 7th grade friend), and I went to the library with Riley to watch Anna study Latin (she's the overachiever who studies Latin as a 3rd language! JK Anna, I love you!) and Haley, Kendall, Mary, and Charlotte play with the Rubik's Cube, a new craze at school in which I participated in. I found myself so interested that I bought one and have yet to solve the puzzle. Another idea for a Christmas present for a child, the Rubik's cube.

In Social Studies, we had a difficult quiz. Our teacher told us to study specific things and almost none of the things were on the quiz! I had a stressful and difficult time. In English, we discussed quotes from the book we are reading at the moment, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, an excellent book. In gym, we continued our holiday basketball tournament in which our team got slaughtered twice! We do not have the most all-star basketball players on our team! In Science, we measured different objects to find the density, and in Math we learned how to find the volumes of pyramids and cones. In Spanish, we had a mini-fiesta with Sidra de Manzana (Sparkling Apple Cider). We sang a song called "Somos Tal Para Cual" which means "We Are Made for Each Other". Our teacher required all of the boys in our class to hand the girls drinks and offer drinks to us whenever we wanted more! My crush (whom I will not mention because I do not know who reads my blog in my school) offered me cider, which I believed to be cute!

Friendship is a difficult issue for most of us women at school this year. Many problems have arose, I wonder if this disease is contagious, for most people I know seems to have problems with friends at the moment. My friend Mary is in a dispute with her "friend" Hannah who has caused Mary pain and trouble since the start of last summer. Claire, one of my friends, has spread rumors and gossip about others, and a rumor she has spread details of me! I do not know what to think because I have heard different points of view on the situation.

The Ashley issue has resolved. I talk to my mom about these types of problems and she usually offers insight and advice, and she suggested I drop the issue, and I agree, I acted in an over-possessive way. But now, a new issue has come up between Mary and Ashley. I have heard two points of view on the situation, one from each victim. Mary says she feels Ashley has acted clingy, and Mary feels she needs space. She also claims that Ashley has insulted in her in a joking way, but Mary has taken the "insults" more in a sensitive and personal view. She believes Ashley should not joke about certain issues. While on the other side, Ashley noticed Mary was upset in gym today and asked Mary what was wrong and Mary ignored her and did not answer. Ashley feels that Mary should tell her face-to-face if she is angry with Ashley and not have me, the "messenger", tell her, and I agree with her. Mary should talk to Ashley herself, which I told Mary and Mary is planning to do tomorrow. I do not want to take sides or stand in the middle of the issue; I want Mary and Ashley to resolve the problem before the issue becomes more involved. I hope they can settle their opinions and differences.

Drama, Drama, Drama Queen! Middle school and junior high involve TOO MUCH drama! I feel as if I should take a breather from friends for a while, but you and I both know one person needs friends. I have decided to ignore the Louisa issue and not discuss the problem on my blog anymore. She still appears to not notice I am mad at her, and I do not care. I do not want to be her friend anymore, so I will stop the discussion on the issue, unless any readers have advice or insight they care to share. I could use any!

Thanks for your patience as you read this endless post!
